DutiesThe Climate Pollution Reduction Program Project Manager works within the Information Technology Section, which provides information, tools and services to support Climate Pollution Reduction Program (CPRP) staff and management in their efforts to stabilize and improve Washington’s environment. As a Project Manager, you will be involved in the project management and development of highly visible application development projects used by myriad internal and external users, such as Ecology staff, or staff from large industrial sources, who rely on these applications to report environmental data. You’ll lead interdisciplinary teams of software engineers and environmental scientists to deliver customized software solutions so that CPRP scientists and managers can make sound judgments to protect human health and the environment. Your responsibilities will include organizing your project teams, developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and directing the execution of these plans. The complexity of this work involves detailed planning, execution, and responding to evolving IT technology and best practices.If you possess excellent communication skills, the ability to quickly assess a situation when making a decision and a strong willingness to collaborate across project teams, then this position is for you!Some of your duties as Project Manager include:
