Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the roleis currently recruiting a Client Service Adviser to join the Directorate of Campus Operations team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Business Manager you will focus on a customer-service experience that has us respected and valued. You will be the front-line contact for calls and enquiries regarding student accommodation, communicating with internal staff as well as external stakeholders. There will also be the opportunity to assist other teams and projects, enhancing your career development and industry knowledge.Ō pūmanawa – About youYou will be the face of Directorate of Campus Operations, you won’t take yourself to seriously, you will bring your whole self to work every day, fun is a must for you. You will take pride in the end-to-end experience of our students. Communication, problem-solving, and database skills will be in your toolbox, and you won’t be afraid of excel. Demonstrated experience as both a team player and a self-starter would be a definite advantage.You will also bring relevant experience in large and complex organisations and be able to champion the University’s values as you engage with and support a wide range of people on a day-to-day basis. You will be adept at assessing situations quickly and get a sense of achievement when you help others. You will have examples where you have been the eyes and ears of an organisation, making a tangible difference to service, safety, and reputation.Key requirements:
- Customer facing experience, interacting, and assisting a range of people daily, face to face, online, by phone.
- An affinity for people, a desire to provide excellent service, a can-do-will-do attitude.
- Expertise in complaints management and dealing with difficult or sensitive situations.
- An understanding of legislation, particularly those relating to privacy, health, and safety.
- Proficient computer skills: knowing your way around excel is beneficial.
- Knowledge of the importance of health and wellbeing/stress reduction principles, particularly for young people who are away from home and family.
