Priding itself on achieving strategic aims while ensuring a collaborative, inclusive and rewarding team dynamic.The RoleWe are looking for a talented Client Relationship Manager to join our Client Relationships and Solutions Team, to manage a small portfolio of strategic clients and work with the Head of Client Relationships and Solutions to embed the new key client programme, deliver firm-wide, innovative client solutions, drive sustainable growth and champion a best-in-class client experience.This is a unique opportunity to influence the firm’s client strategy and help define and drive best-practice relationship management – creating lasting change and directly contributing to firm success.This is a client-facing role and will suit someone with excellent interpersonal skills who is comfortable and confident dealing with varying levels of the firm and our clients’ businesses.Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Client Relationships and Partner Support:Working with Client Relationship Partners and Core Client Teams on a small portfolio of strategic clients to identify opportunities, drive plans and deliver the firm
  • Developing Client Relationships: Play a leading role in your Client Teams by developing your own relationships with client contacts at varying levels of the client’s business to capture insights, shape plans and deliver a standout client experience
  • Supporting the Key Client Programme: Working with the Head of Clients to continue rolling out the new framework of tools and resources for the Key Client Programme, and championing them across your own portfolio
  • Championing the Client Listening Programme:Active involvement in the firm’s Client Listening Programme, taking the lead on setting up your own feedback conversations across both your own portfolio and wider client opportunities with partner support, championing the refreshed process and tools and resources, supporting Partners and Business Development Managers to build momentum
  • Developing and Delivering Training for Lawyers: Working with the Head of Clients to deliver the new programme of partner training, and working together on the development and delivery of further planned programmes to enhance capabilities
  • Supporting the Firm’s RM Community: Each Business Development Manager has a small portfolio of key clients (our “RM Community”), and you will play an important central role, providing guidance and support, and fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Opportunity Spotting:Identifying and pursuing opportunities within your own client portfolio and sharing insights across the Key Client Programme to deliver an enhanced client experience and support relationship development
  • Developing and Championing Client Solutions: Support the Head of Clients to develop innovative client solutions based on client feedback and business need, and including for example, driving a new secondment process refocussed on the secondee-client experience
  • Developing Internal Peer Network: Working with your peers in other Business Services teams to spotlight projects and ensure client solutions are joined up and co-ordinated across all relevant stakeholders

Personal Specification – Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 1-2 years as a Client Relationship Manager in a large team within a major law firm, looking for a more influential and strategic role
  • Proven track record of successfully growing revenues across a portfolio of clients and leveraging your own client relationships
  • Active experience of a firm-wide client listening programme
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple deadlines will be crucial
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to approach challenges innovatively, developing solutions that resonate with client and business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to influence change and facilitate client-centric approaches
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, displaying flexibility and resilience
