The primary role of the Client Relationship Manager is to manage a portfolio of clients and perform on-going oversight on their funds in order to ensure that the funds continue to be managed in line with all of their legal, regulatory and fiduciary requirements and to generate regular and exception-based reporting for each Fund Board to enable its Directors and the Management Company to fulfil their governance obligations.This position can be based out of our Dublin, Wexford or Kilkenny offices.What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- 5 years solid background in the Fund industry (UCITS and AIFs)
- Experience working in a technical capacity within and ManCo/AIFM, Administrator, Depository, Audit firm or a financial services firm
- Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel and Access (VBA skills would be considered as an advantage)
- Experience in managing multiple clients
- Project management, planning and organisation skills
- Fluency in English with a very high standard of written English
Who are we looking for?Carne is currently recruiting for a Client Relationship Management professional for our Irish offices.What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Maintain responsibility and contact point for the regulatory oversight of several Carne client funds, ensuring that all fund reporting is received and recorded on a timely basis and appropriate actions initiated as required.
- Act as main point of contact for the client for day-to-day activities and resolution (including escalation) of any fund related issues (including those in BAU), in addition organising regular service review calls.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with each of the fund delegates including Investment Managers, Administrators and Depositaries, to ensure clear lines of communication.
- Actively participate in the review process of the initial and on-going Due Diligence of delegates to ensure that all delegates continue to operate and perform in line with regulatory requirements and in accordance with best practice standards.
- Ensure all funds have up to date policies and procedures that reflect on-going regulatory developments and any other requirements as determined by the Fund Boards, including SLAs.
- Ensure the review of KPIs from all delegates including the Administrator, Transfer Agent, Distributor and Investment Manager are done and actively participate in the sign off on a monthly basis.
- Ensure coordination and oversight of fund financial reports
- Participate in client quarterly calls organised for oversight purposes
- Preparation of reports for Board of Directors of Fund/Management Company
- Ensure Risk and Valuation work is undertaken on the funds in a timely manner and review and sign off is carried out.
- Responsible for coordinating service delivery across Carne teams with regards to the services that our Management Company/AIFM clients contract with Carne
- Support the client on-boarding process
- Generate, review and sign off exceptional and regular Board reporting to inform Directors on the extent of the Fund’s compliance with all of its legal, regulatory and fiduciary obligations and to highlight any issues that may require consideration by the Board.
- Attend Board meetings of your clients and present Board reports in person.
- Ensure that any actions raised at Board Meetings are subsequently progressed and resolved in a timely manner and to the Board’s satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the relationship and support new business development opportunities.
- Host onsite visits from Clients and counterparties
- Proactively manage service commitments and Client expectations
- Maintenance and/or review of all client data
- Preparation of presentation materials for client visits
- Ensure active engagement across the various teams in the organisation
- Review of the Carne budget to ensure appropriate client billing and follow up of payment
- Assist with capital requirements supervision
