  • Planning, designing, and overseeing new construction projects, renovations, and maintenance of existing building structures according to SABIS® requirements
  • Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations and risk assessments
  • Managing and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency in implementing requirements and the execution of tasks on schedule and within the approved budget
  • Playing a crucial role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of needed resources to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Conducting regular on-site investigations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, and analyzing data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and others)
  • Identifying and addressing any potential risks or discrepancies promptly to maintain project integrity and resolve any emerging problems
  • Collaborating with architects and engineers in charge to implement the design of SABIS® schools while following up on the preparation of drawings and documents (BOQ, specifications, and contracts) for the proper construction of SABIS® schools
  • Supervising and following up on the construction of SABIS® schools on-site to ensure the implementation of the SABIS® SSD requirements
  • Monitoring progress and communicating compiled technical reports on the project updates and timelines to all relevant parties
  • Ensuring adherence to regulations and guidelines, including permits and safety, among others, according to SABIS® policies and procedures
  • Following up with the contractors on any concern that may occur after the completion of the construction works and during the defect’s liability period
  • Researching and applying innovative solutions in the construction field to improve the efficiency and sustainability of school facilities
  • Keeping abreast of new design and construction methodologies and technologies to ensure that school campuses are more efficient and less costly to build, operate, and maintain, and updating the SABIS® Standards for School Design (SSD) accordingly
  • Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the Management

Ideal Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent
  • English and Arabic Proficient
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant field
