Job description: Title: Chemical Regulation/Legislation (Antenna) and EPR Advocacy ConsultantLocation: Hybrid in either Ann Arbor, MI or Washington, DC2 days onsiteVisa: USC or GCJOB DESCRIPTION:The person in this role will support the Chemical Management Office objectives of Chemical Regulation/Legislation “antenna” functionKey Responsibilities:

• Surveil, Analyze, and summarize the critical material or chemical substance related regulation and legislative activity.
• Coordinate the surveillance and broadcast of critical material or chemical substance related legislation and regulation to the business
• Examples:
• Create and distribute Chemical Regulatory Notices (CRN) or “news alerts” to key internal stakeholders.
• Input regulatory/legislative summaries into internal company software.
• Using various tools, coordinate the tracking of substances being pursued by local and global regulatory or legislative bodies throughout the regulatory/legislative timeline.
• Occasional special projects may be requested, depending on available time.

Qualifications:

• A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working with consumer products industries, especially complex durable goods industries.
• Working knowledge and understanding of global material or chemical substance regulations and legislations which may impact the auto industry.
• Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, such as issuance of reports to communicate technical matters to stakeholders.
• Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), adobe acrobat
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Problem solver with a customer-first approach and excellent interpersonal skills
