Job description: JOB OVERVIEWJoin a mission-driven startup helping defense contractors and IT organizations achieve cybersecurity compliance with speed, clarity, and confidence.
We’re looking for a Compliance Advisor who’s passionate about cybersecurity, compliance, and building smart systems that scale. You’ll directly support U.S.-based clients by preparing them for CMMC certification and delivering real-world cybersecurity solutions. You’ll also help drive growth by participating in light outbound sales activities, giving you a 360° view of what it means to build a thriving compliance program.What You’ll Do:
Lead clients through CMMC readiness, including documentation production, policy development, and evidence collection.
Deploy, configure, and recommend improvements for IT and cybersecurity tools (EDR, backups, logging, MFA, etc.).
Provide gap assessments and remediation plans based on NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 frameworks.
Collaborate with technical and executive-level client stakeholders.
Occasionally support outbound messaging and calls to potential clients to understand and improve how we sell CMMC services.
Report directly to the Compliance & Cybersecurity Lead.You’re a Great Fit If You:
Have at least 2 years of IT compliance or cybersecurity consulting experience.
Are familiar with at least one major framework: NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ISO 27001, SOC 2, or CMMC.
Have experience delivering work to clients (e.g., documentation, technical remediations, security reviews).
Speak and write fluent English – especially for professional and technical communication.
Are confident presenting and communicating with IT professionals and executives.
Are detail-oriented and proactive, with a startup-friendly mindset.Bonus Points:
Experience working with U.S. clients or government contractors.
Familiarity with compliance automation platforms (Drata, Vanta, Secureframe, etc.).
Background in selling or explaining compliance services.
Love for systems thinking, frameworks, and simplifying complexity.Work Setup:
