Additional information can be found at: www.chubb.com.Your RoleYou will be responsible for managing the portfolio and driving profitable growth in the Casualty lines of business, specifically focusing on Life Sciences and Marine Services Liability in New Zealand. This position allows for semi-autonomous operation to achieve the desired outcomes for the region. As you develop your technical skills and knowledge, you will gradually assume more autonomy, with the potential to expand your underwriting authority across all Casualty products.Your Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, accept, or reject risks and renewals within the Casualty lines of business, adhering to your specialized underwriting authority.
• Assist in the analysis and management of the Casualty portfolio using effective portfolio management systems.
• Maintain the Casualty portfolio by compiling necessary business reports.
• Provide expert advice and consultation to the underwriting manager in areas of specialized knowledge.
• Engage with producers and clients to promote Chubb coverages, products, and services. Build and maintain relationships with producers to gather essential underwriting information, ensure satisfactory service, and encourage the submission of targeted business.
• Offer technical and underwriting support to the NZ Casualty Manager as needed.
• Assist management in developing budget plans and strategies aimed at achieving profitable growth in designated Casualty business lines.
• Undertake special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in underwriting and marketing within the Casualty lines of business, gained through at least two years of relevant experience in a minimum of two of the following areas: underwriting/marketing, sales/marketing, product management, and financial analysis.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with producers, customers, and all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational capabilities to work independently and utilize appropriate automated tools with minimal administrative support.
• Demonstrated proficiency in PC software, including Email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), WordPerfect, and any new software relevant to the position.
• Ability to implement general business procedures and practices, as evidenced by the completion of a business-related tertiary curriculum, management training programs, or relevant business experience.
• Commitment to achieving profit and increasing the long-term value of the business.
• Understanding of how trends and emerging opportunities affect customers and competitors, facilitating the sale of products and services.
• Ability to anticipate, recognize, and create opportunities for business growth.
• Skill in creating, developing, and sustaining positive personal relationships with external parties who can impact our business.
• Capacity to develop and foster creative approaches or imaginative solutions that maximize the future potential of the business.

• Tertiary qualification in related discipline
• ANZIIF qualification (desired)
