Job description: The Carrier Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the daily transportation activities related to carrier assignments. This role involves working closely with third-party carriers, internal teams, and customers to ensure on-time delivery, minimize costs, and optimize route efficiency.If you have strong attention to detail, previous experience in transportation or supply chain, and strong technical experience with Power BI we want to hear from you!Position: Carrier Planner

– Work with complex systems to tender work assignments and update transportation activities across Canada
– Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements using continuous improvement methodologies.
– Provide input on business processes and technical issues.
– Evaluate cost impacts of carrier contracts and support negotiation materials creation.
– Maintain relationships with third-party carriers
– Regularly provide feedback on transportation plans, suggesting improvements.
– Maintain knowledge of Canadian transportation acts and regulations.Qualifications
– Post-secondary education in Business or Logistics
– Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables) and PowerBI
– 3-5 years of business experience within Supply Chain; transportation experience is an asset.
– Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
– Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
– Familiarity with project management and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.Summary
