Wake words are short phrases used to activate Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems, commonly used in smart speakers, smartphones, automotive voice assistants, and other AI-powered devices. The collected data will help train ASR systems to recognize wake words spoken by a variety of voices in different environments.Task Details:Participants will record a script of 101 short phrases twice:Near-field condition: Speaking close to the microphone.Far-field condition: Speaking from a distance.Each phrase takes approximately 1.2 seconds to record.The total task includes 202 phrases per participant (101 phrases x 2 sessions).The entire task should take less than one hour to complete.The recordings will be completed using a mobile device following provided instructions.Requirements:Canadian French speaker with a natural accent.Clear speech with no strong regional dialects that may interfere with recognition.Access to a quiet environment for high-quality recordings.A smartphone or tablet capable of recording audio.Ability to follow instructions carefully and complete the task independently.Compensation:Competitive, based on task completion.Application Process:
