Job description: We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician who is eager to learn and develop their skills. The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail, with an interest in mechanical engineering. The candidate must have the ability to work on multiple projects at once, managing their time efficiently and effectively to complete set goals and tasks. The candidate must have prior experience using SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software Duties Make updates and improvements to existing 3D designs and 2D drawings in SOLIDWORKS Work on new projects, including the production of concept/approval drawings for the end customer Working with an integrated PDM system through SOLIDWORKS, to maintain revision control on components, assemblies, and drawings Liaising with suppliers regarding the suitability of components, as well as the procurement of these parts Production of steel and stainless steel ‘laser cut’ drawing files (.dwg) and maintaining revision control of existing files Compiling lists of ‘laser cut’ files to be sent out for quotation, checking quotations for accuracy, and updating the stock control system accordingly Adding and updating design BOMs on our manufacturing and stock inventory system, ‘inFlow’ Producing and compiling technical files for new and existing machines Creation and modification of instruction manuals for our finished machines Creating technical datasheets for the sales departmentSkills Highly proficient in the use of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications Able to work within a small team or on their own when required Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills Motivated to expand and further develop their knowledge of engineering principles and practices Ability to multitask between different projects Good communication and time management skillsNon-essential / supplementary skills and experience: College or University level education in CAD, Design, or Engineering Experience in a similar role in recent years Knowledge of product data management systems, including revision control Experience with stock management systemsTo apply please submit your CV to josh@winners-recruitment.co.uk or for further information please contact Joshua at Winners Recruitment, Truro – 01872 264744 Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per yearBenefits: Company pension Free parking On-site parking Schedule: Monday to Friday Experience: AutoCAD: 1 year (required) SolidWorks: 1 year (required) Data entry: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In personReference ID: CAD£28000 SalaryJob ID: HQ027961Job Type: PermanentLocation: HayleCategory: Technical
