Job description: >A global leader in clean utility systems, supporting some of the world’s most advanced pharmaceutical and biotech facilities is seeking a CAD Engineer to join their growing team in Co Meath. Their innovative technologies and solutions cover all clean media applications, including Purified Water, Water for Injection (WFI), and Pure Steam. With a strong international footprint and a manufacturing site based in Co. Meath, they deliver high-performance, prequalified equipment skids and provide end-to-end services-from process and automation engineering through to commissioning and after-sales support.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-spec, technical projects where your drawings will play a vital role in delivering industry-leading utility systems.What You’ll Be Doing:
Design & Modelling:
- Develop high-quality 3D models and detailed technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Work on piping, tubing, frame generation, and plant room layouts
- Use AutoCAD, REVIT, and Navisworks to produce precise outputs
- Convert 2D concepts into accurate, manufacturable CAD drawings and GA/ISO documents
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers and process engineers to meet project specs and deadlines
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and technical improvements
- Support a collaborative, quality-driven engineering environment
Documentation & Standards:
- Ensure all designs meet industry regulations and internal standards
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, file naming conventions, and version control
- Apply design modifications as required by production and engineering teams
Who You Are:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or related field)
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical or structural design, ideally in steel fabrication
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and related CAD tools
- Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing workload to meet tight deadlines
- A strong communicator who enjoys working in cross-functional teams
