About the Role
We are seeking a CAD and Data Technician to ensure the accuracy and integrity of estate and space planning records at Swinburne University of Technology. This role is critical for maintaining up-to-date CAD drawings and spatial data, enabling informed decision-making and effective space utilization across the university.Working closely with the Estate and Space Planning team and other stakeholders, the Technician will manage and update Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), ensuring precise data integration and adherence to high standards of data quality. Additional responsibilities include supporting smaller CAD drawing tasks within the team.The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach to data management, proficiency in AutoCAD and related tools, and a passion for optimizing spaces and resources to align with the university’s strategic goals.About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in producing ‘As-built’ CAD drawings in AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing and updating CAD drawings to ensure accuracy
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong sense of ownership with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies
