Come share your passion with us!The role we are offering you:By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to support the tax team by assisting with various Canadian, American or International tax projects.Participate in the Canadian tax return process (T2)Participate in the preparation of the income tax returns for Canadian corporationsParticipate in the preparation of the underlying forms such as: T106, T1134, NR4, NR 301Participate in the preparation of the claim for the Tax Credit for an On-the-Job Training PeriodParticipate in the review notices of assessment and prepare corresponding journal entriesPrepare notices of objectionFollow up on various deadlines such as notices of assessment, notices of objection, and statute of limitation datesParticipate in the tax audit process for Canadian corporationsPrepare/review income tax provisions of Canadian and foreign subsidiaries as part of the public financial statement’s publication processHelp prepare and analyze quarterly income tax provisions for Canadian and international legal entitiesUpdate tax packagesCompute and posting tax consolidation entriesInternational workParticipate in the preparation of surplus and ACB calculation: Gathering data (F/S’s, tax returns, resolutions) and starting the data input.Organize Tax Residency Certificates (TRC) on the server; prepare a yearly checklist of TRC, send TRC requests and handle follow-up;Participate in the preparation of a Loan Detail Schedule for tracking of loans and foreign exchange;Participate in the preparation of a schedule to identifies passive income or other income that could be considered FAPI.Our ideal candidate has:An interest in the taxation fieldExcellent knowledge of Microsoft ExcelBilingual (French and English)Spanish speaking is a definite assetIs meticulous, structured and organizedShows initiative and independenceIs a good team playerPreferred EducationPursuing a/an college/undergraduate/masters degree in accounting, finance, administration, tax or related field with previous internships completed (an asset).Location of the internship is Montreal.Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode.*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate.
