The Vice President, Business Valuation Professional is responsible for participating as a member of the Fiduciary Committee, reviewing valuation reports and related client financial data, participating in ESOP transactions, and evaluating and understanding client financial performance for the purpose of fulfilling GreatBanc’ s fiduciary role.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Serve as a Member of the Fiduciary Committee.
2. Annual Valuation Updates and Administrative Actions
- Review valuation reports and participate in Fiduciary Committee meetings for annual updates and administrative actions.
- Review the valuation checklist prepared by the Client Service Officer.
3. Transactions
- Serve as a member of the Transaction Team as requested by the Client Service Officer or General Counsel, including participation in due diligence, and negotiations.
- Review transaction financial diligence, valuation reports, fairness opinions, and related analyses, and participate in Fiduciary Committee meetings for Transactions.
- Review Protocol documents, in conjunction with General Counsel and Compliance Team, to ensure Process Agreement compliance.
- Prepare a valuation checklist.
4. Assist with Approval Process for Valuation Advisors
- Review data submitted by Valuation Advisors in support of applications for pre-approval to the transaction list and participate in Compliance Team approval process.
5. Train Staff on Valuation Methods and Standards
- Periodically meet with staff to ensure that they are adequately knowledgeable on valuation skills.
- Develop training for ongoing skill development as requested.
6. Client Service
- Meet with clients as necessary in due diligence, board meetings, or as requested by Client Service Officers to address valuation-related issues.
- Participate in new client pitches as requested by Business Development Team.
- Participate in industry conferences and seminars.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
o 10 years or more experience in business valuationSKILLS/ABILITIES
o Proficient at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
o Ability to work well within a team environment
o Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
o Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
