This includes procurement, deployment, renewal, tracking, and disposal of software assets. The role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, optimizes software usage, and manages vendor relationships to achieve cost-effective procurement and asset management.Responsibilities:Software Asset Management:

• Develop and implement software asset management policies and procedures.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits to verify software usage and compliance.

Procurement:

• Manage the procurement process for software, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand software requirements and ensure timely procurement.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and service.

Vendor Management:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with software vendors and service providers.
• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors to optimize costs.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the software asset budget.
• Track and report on software asset expenditures.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvement

Requirements:

• At least 3 years working within IT Service Management.
• At least 2 years experience in Software Asset Management and procurement.
• Strong knowledge of software licensing and compliance
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively amongst multiple priorities.
• Experience using enterprise tools such as ServiceNow and Ariba.
• Experience working in a regulated environment within a global company (preferred).
• Exceptional knowledge of ITIL processes (preferred).

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
