This role will report into the Client Control – Policies, Regulations, Issue Management, and non-Regulatory Engagement Lead (C15) and will be responsible for implementing key processes and establishing adequate governance around Engagement Coordination as Issue Remediation. In addition, the role will be working closely with 1st, 2nd and 3rd LoD teams towards fulfilling the roles and responsibilities related to the above processes.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong understanding of regulations management, associated risks and controls and a keen interest in establishing robust processes, and governance in-line with Citi Client’s strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities:Direct and navigate a team of professionals in effectively:Supporting the Issue Quality Assurance and issue pre-validation processes for a substantial inventory of new and existing issues. Overseeing the process of reporting, monitoring and thematically analysing issues for the Client Organization.Issue Quality Assurance and Issue pre-validation.

• Support ICM stakeholders in the creation, drafting and qualitative pre-validation of observations raised on the back of control gaps, as well as internal or external non-regulatory engagements.
• Facilitate Issue Management engagement throughout the lifecycle and stages of remediating high severity issues and key programs owned by Client teams.
• Act as a key resource for Client teams’ issue owners to advise and support on the effective design and implementation of key controls remediated through issues.
• Partner with colleagues to build highly effective relationships across the Client teams to ensure remediation design and implementation is effectively project managed and executed in co-ordination with second and third lines.
• Design, execute and report to issue owners and Client senior management on the effectiveness of control remediations prior to submission for independent validation by control functions.
• Establish a solid network of key stakeholders in control functions to enable effective collaboration and partnership during the creation and remediation of issues.

Issue Reporting and Thematic Analysis

• Lead the Client Organization’s issue monitoring, reporting, and analysis to provide transparency on the status of Issues within the Issue Management Lifecycle.
• Prepare Issue reporting for Governance Committees and Management Forums for the Client Organization.
• Accountable for the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of reporting and analysis in accordance with the Issue Management Policy and Governance Policy.
• Create and implement appropriate analysis methodology (sourcing, normalization, tagging, aggregation, etc.).
• Develop reporting and analysis to conduct thematic reviews of existing Issues in inventory, including but not limited to evaluating potential impact across other parts the same organizational unit.
• Continuously improve processes and establish best practices for use in the Issues Management space.
• Build relationships with the various Issues Management partners across the Client Organization, business, and functions.
• Lead process enhancements efforts engaging where appropriately the other Issues Management teams.
• Assist management in guiding and influencing standards and procedures that conform to enterprise requirements and support sound operational and compliance risk management.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in risk, compliance, audit, or related control functions.
• Project management skills and excellent organizational, multi-tasking skills proven through prior exposure in leading and coordinating audit, conformance, or equivalent assurance type of engagements.
• Excellent analytical skills when it comes to problem-solving including the ability to identify and address root causes through feasible and effective corrective actions.
• Ability to ‘connect the dots’ by identifying issue inter-dependencies and how their impact in addressing root causes and underlying risks holistically.
• Experience in working with the various risk and control systems and reporting requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging. Professional ability and presence to interact with seniors across all lines of defence.
• Self-motivated, highly adaptive, detail oriented, and demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while still maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow with a demonstrated passion for excellence and contributing to high performing teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level.
• Bachelor’s/University degree or professional qualifications.
