Join us and become part of a team committed to excellence, collaboration, and meaningful change.He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:As the Business Performance Manager, you’ll take a lead role in shaping the success of KiwiRail’s Infrastructure business, with a strong focus on Rail Network Investment Programme (RNIP) management, performance and contribute to the governance. You will collaborate across teams to drive seamless programme delivery and ensure compliance with key performance requirements.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading RNIP operational delivery performance management, ensuring objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Overseeing business performance analysis, monitoring, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead continuous improvement through standardisation of processes and system improvement.
  • Collaborating with regional teams, finance, and asset management to drive efficiency and realise programme benefits.
  • Supporting programme governance and embedding innovation to deliver improvements across infrastructure operations.
  • Managing programme change processes and aligning activities with KiwiRail’s strategic priorities.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in business performance management and programme management in infrastructure or similar industries.
  • A strong background in manging business performance, financial planning, and analysis
  • Experience in programme management and governance (advantageous)
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in project management or best practice asset management (advantageous).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and foster collaboration across business units.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a related field.
