They facilitate and coordinate engagement, including with consumer and industry bodies and are responsible for outward-facing communications channels.Te Tūranga | The RoleIn this role you will be the lead External Relations & Communications contact and partner with leaders and their teams in an assigned FMA portfolio, being their key point of contact. You’ll develop a workplan to promote the work of your portfolio and develop strategies to ensure the highest reach and the right channels are used. You will collaborate with specialists within ER&C, particularly in response to media enquiries, publications and stakeholder engagement.You’ll provide a mix of technical and thought leadership for all things external communications related, as well as preparing, leading and driving the development of key strategies, projects and messages for FMA business areas. This role is a great mix of strategy and delivery.Partnering closely with your area, you’ll create campaigns on behalf of these groups and the FMA at all stages of development and execution across all channels.He kōrero mōu | About youWe’ll be looking for you to bring a deep understanding and skills within external communications, specifically with proven success influencing and guiding leaders within this area of expertise.As a business partner, we’ll also be keen to understand how you operate ‘in the grey’ to find solutions and ways forward while maintaining strong effective working relationships.You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
