Job description: Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing/ProductionOur client, a well-known leader in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee their manufacturing and production facility in Cork. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive significant business growth both nationally and expand their footprint in Mainland Europe.Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations at a facility supported by a highly competent team.
• Growth & Expansion: Develop and execute strategies to expand the customer base, tapping into new national and European markets.
• Regulatory Liaison: Engage with relevant food authorities, ensuring all operational standards and regulatory requirements are met.
• Client Relationship Management: Sustain and grow a long-established client base while exploring new market opportunities.
• Strategic Leadership: Leverage operational expertise to scale the business, capitalizing on the facility’s capacity for growth with minimal additional investment.

Qualifications & Attributes:

• Operational Expertise: Demonstrable experience running a food manufacturing or production site with robust operational processes.
• Sales & Growth Acumen: Proven track record of growing businesses through strategic sales initiatives and market expansion.
• Industry Insight: A background in the meat industry is preferred; however, candidates with extensive experience in food manufacturing growth are encouraged to apply.
• Regulatory Savvy: Ability to efficiently liaise with food regulatory bodies and navigate industry-specific compliance matters.
• Leadership & Communication: A proactive, personable leader with excellent interpersonal skills, ready to drive business success.
