  • Permanent position based in Sydney, Melbourne or Traralgon (other locations considered)
  • Salary range $94,198~$105,581 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience
  • Hybrid working – enjoy 2-3 days working from home

We value those with sharp, analytical minds and are open to challenging the way things are done.The teamRegistry and Intelligence (R&I) is comprised of the following teams – Registry Operations, Intelligence (which includes Regulatory Insights & Assessment, Strategic Planning & Intelligence, Business Innovation & Improvement, and Information & Knowledge Resource Centre) International and Business Management Unit.These teams drive an intelligence led regulatory approach using data informed insights and intelligence. The teams do this by providing efficient and accessible business registers, assessing reports lodged with ASIC, managing information and data flowing into and created by ASIC and leading our international engagement work. The teams also innovate and identify opportunities to leverage data and insights to ensure ASIC makes better regulatory decisions. This group is responsible for ASIC’s physical libraries and archives, including SharePoint and digital subscriptions, as well as for ASIC’s knowledge management function.The roleYou will be accountable for:

  • Assisting to deliver effective, accurate and timely tasks, initiatives and projects for the R&I Group across a wide range of business- related functions, including business planning, business continuity management, risk management, internal communications and executive reporting.
  • Coordinating internal communications and engagement for the Group including maintaining the R&I SharePoint site and drafting communication products to showcase the Group.
  • Coordinating and managing business improvement activities, including identifying and implementing improvements to own work practices.
  • Providing project administration and input to a range of BMU projects and other ad hoc tasks or priorities as directed by the Manager BMU.
  • Providing support to the Manager BMU with business plan activity including business plan administration, reporting and compliance monitoring.
  • Coordinating and liaising with stakeholders to ensure action items and milestones are met.
  • Coordinating and collating material for Compliance, Risk Office and/or Internal Audit meetings, disseminating and monitoring action items for timely action.
  • Coordinating and supporting management meetings and other activities, preparing agendas, presentation materials, and providing administrative and logistical support as required.
  • Preparing documentation or requests for procurement, working with Procurement stakeholders as required.
  • Working cooperatively across the team to ensure the smooth operation of the Group.
  • Assisting the BMU Manager and group Executive Assistants with planning activities across the group including leadership days and L&D initiatives.
  • Maintaining an effective network that fosters productive engagement across the R&I Group and ASIC.

About you

  • A tertiary or vocational qualification.
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Highly articulate, strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and influence decision making. Professional experience in communications is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and be accountable for outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to think about and solve problems, coupled with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating and working effectively with other senior executives and teams to meet objectives.
  • Ability to collate data from multiple sources to create a holistic dataset.
  • Experience working across a variety of software applications, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, CRM. Advanced skills highly advantageous.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI, QlikSense, etc.) will be highly regarded.
