Our Vision is to ensure the possession and use of firearms in Aotearoa is the safest in the world.To achieve this, Te Tari Pūreke delivers four core functions: effectively implementing the firearms licensing systems; managing the Firearms Registry; educating people to enable compliance with their legislative responsibilities; and promoting the safe possession and use of legitimate firearms.We are committed to fostering a culture of safe and responsible firearms use, gun ownership and awareness by working collaboratively with the firearms community, our stakeholders, and fellow agencies.About the roleThe Business Integration Manager role will deliver senior operational expertise and drive decision making at a programme and project levels, ensuring the business is prepared for and able to embrace change delivered by the Business Transformation directorate.This role is critical and is primarily accountable for proactively managing the relationship between the Business Transformation directorate and the business ensuring that business requirements are well understood and that the business is prepared for the change delivery. This includes the ability to facilitate strong collaboration and connection between delivery functions and recipients of change through considered timing, sequencing and assessments of change achievability.To be successful in the role, you’ll lead continuous improvement and operational policy practices for the Authority. You will drive the development and enhancement of systems, processes, partnerships and policies, translating strategic imperatives and legislative changes into impactful operational practices that support and advance the Regulator’s and objectives.Key Deliverables:

• Experience working in a compliance or regulatory environment, leading a team to support operational improvement and excellence.
• Proven success in developing, leading and motivating high performing delivery teams that achieve results.
• Demonstrated planning, priority setting and resource allocation skills to inform development of priorities and work programmes.
• Proven success in introducing and driving innovative business practices to achieve positive results.
• Demonstrated ability to present sound recommendations and make decisions.
• Experience in communication of complex information through written documents.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and manage a team.

Special requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience preferred.
