Melbourne!What You’ll DoThis exciting role requires you to work hand in hand with the Marketing & Sales teams to prospect and generate high quality leads across various industries, with a goal to schedule meetings for your sales reps and help contribute to the close of business. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you will have an amazing opportunity to be part of the ‘engine room’ for generating business for the entire sales team. You will work with multiple departments to set up the sales team for success while playing a key role in developing success for Mimecast in the region. Success within the BDR team will give you the opportunity to progress into a great career in the many internal roles you will come into contact with throughout your journey with us. As well as learn key strategies and skills to set up your professional career.What You’ll DoProspecting and taking queries from potential clients with the overall goal of generating & maturing leads to be passed off to your sales partnerScreening and qualifying potential business through external methodsMonitoring online forums to answer any customer queriesIdentifying and overcoming objections whilst addressing business pain points through high activityEffective use of Salesforce and various in-house tools to manage your leadsAbility to ‘think outside the square’ and generate your own leadsSpeaking directly with end customers/prospects and articulating the benefitsAttending marketing events (road shows, conferences) to build meaningful relationships and scope potential opportunities.What You’ll NeedThe ideal candidate is hard-working by nature, determined, persistent and will thrive in an organisation where excellence is the norm. You will have:Previous customer service experiencePrevious sales or lead gen experience (not essential, but favorable)Accountability to get the job done and work as part of a teamGreat rapport building & communication skills (both written and verbal)A drive and determination to succeed with a resilient natureA previous track record to go above and beyond to exceed targets and KPI’s.Excellent phone skills and be able to drive the conversationInterest in SaaS/ IT / Cyber SecurityDEI StatementCybersecurity is a community effort.
