Are you a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager, looking to join a global ASX listed organisation and take the next step in your career? Do you want to make a difference to the environment and champion sustainability?As a valued part of the Sales and Customer Solutions team, your role will be to identify and drive strategic initiatives, to maximising growth opportunities within our food and industrial channels. This role will be based at our Victorian office and reports directly to the Manager, Channel Development.The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Generate and convert new business opportunities that positively impact the environment
• Manage ‘Go to Market’ plans for initiatives from inception to go live.
• Manage stakeholders, ensuring collaboration & engagement, to drive initiatives to outcomes.
• Drive Strategic Initiatives whilst also determining the best solution for the customer, involving the analysis of the size, growth potential and longevity of the opportunity
• Sell the concept and benefits of new products and services that substitute existing packaging products and processes
• Monitor and report competitor activity including product offers, price, services, targeted customers, promotional activities, and response to CHEP activities
• Identify new products and channels and transform from concept to execution

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

• An inquisitive salesperson, you love the thrill of the chase, you are a problem solver, but know where to invest your focus for maximum benefit.
• The ability to close deals quickly and effectively with win/win outcomes
• Demonstrable strategic and critical thinking capabilities
• You have solid experience in project management, and excel in managing stakeholders within these projects.
• Credibility, integrity, positive personal presentation, with the capability to engage with a variety of decision makers
• Food / Industrial manufacturing or packaging experience would be highly regarded
• Experience in a previous business development role desirable
• A strong planner with the ability to work autonomously.
• Sound commercial acumen
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics or a related discipline
