ROLE EXPECTATIONS:
This is a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the business. Here’s what to expect in this role:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to boost the company’s footprint in the Melbourne market.
  • Identify and target key sectors, such as high-end architectural projects, commercial developments, and design firms.
  • Proactively pursue new business opportunities by engaging architects, lighting designers, property developers, and commercial builders.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers within the architectural and design industries.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to raise brand awareness and expand market reach.
  • Work closely with architects and designers to understand their unique needs and offer tailored lighting solutions that balance aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on lighting design, energy efficiency, and product specifications.
  • Assist clients throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to project completion, ensuring seamless integration of the company’s lighting solutions.

CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the architectural or design sectors, and specific on-road sales experience. You should meet the following criteria:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in architect and design sales, ideally within architectural lighting, design, or related industries. must come from the building materials industry
  • Proven on-road sales experience with a history of managing and growing a territory, meeting clients face-to-face, and generating new business.
  • A strong business development background, with a history of successfully generating and closing new business.
  • In-depth knowledge of architectural solutions and an understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a proactive and results-focused sales approach.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills, capable of closing high-value deals and managing complex sales cycles.
