We work with a wide range of vendors and technologies to deliver comprehensive cybersecurity solutions that address the evolving threat landscape.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the roleWe are looking for a customer-obsessed, experienced individual who is driven to grow the channel community for our cyber-focused vendors. You will play a key role in managing and developing relationships with both current and prospective partners. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to onboard partners, build relationships, and drive business development activities. You will also be responsible for ensuring partners are trained and skilled, with a key metric being partner-sourced revenue.This role will report to the Sales Director – New Zealand.As the Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships within key channel partners and develop joint go-to-market initiatives to retain existing business and acquire new partner-sourced business.
  • Develop strong and trusted relationships with partners by delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Identify and onboard new partners who are well-positioned to deliver innovative, market-leading cybersecurity solutions. Motivate, enable, and support these partners to grow with NEXTGEN.
  • Develop and maintain channel partner plans for strategic partners, ensuring existing revenue is retained and new partner-sourced revenue and services are identified and achieved.
  • Collaborate with internal NEXTGEN teams to deliver marketing and promotional campaigns for channel partners.
  • Manage and report on pipeline activity and successfully achieve your budgets

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About youThe ideal Business Development Manager:

  • A strong understanding of the ICT channel partner community in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, with experience working with partners and/or vendors.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage partners both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Experience developing and delivering sales presentations, including articulating the vendor value proposition, quantifying commercial opportunities, and highlighting competitive advantages.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales-oriented role, with a track record of successfully meeting quota and business targets.
  • The ability to take initiative, own projects, and work proactively as part of a team in an autonomous manner.
  • Experience building and managing partner business plans, including sales and pre-sales enablement, marketing plans, business development initiatives, and senior stakeholder management.
  • Candidates must be based in New Zealand and willing to travel across the Pacific Islands to support channel partner relationships and business growth.
  • Must have strong existing relationships with Pacific Islands – based channel partners in the cybersecurity space.

Working Condition:

  • VISA Status – Ability to work full time in NEW ZEALAND with the ability to easily travel to the Pacific Islands
  • Working Hours – 37.5hrs per week
  • Travel Requirements – Yes, to the Pacific Islands
