We are a global company with a network in +50 countries that handles precious shipments, especially for the pharmaceutical industry. This requires a high level of service, delivery reliability, and precision.At World Courier, you will be welcomed by a small but strong sales team that together ensures the crucial partnerships with our customers – relationships that often span over decades because they can involve both pre-clinical trials as well as phase 1, 2, and 3 trials, at pharmaceutical companies where it is crucial that the temperature is correct and stable throughout the transport.You will be responsible for new sales and development of your own customer portfolio. As our new Business Development Manager, your primary task will be to collaborate with the rest of the sales team to build and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry and research laboratories.Under the general direction of the Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the execution of sales, account management and to support marketing within their designated territory in support of the overall business strategy. This position is responsible for generating profitable revenue, enhancing market share and continually looking for ways to differentiate World Courier from its competitors.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a strategic commercial plan to attain the country goals, while utilizing a consultative sales approach of uncovering customer business needs and positioning Cencora World Courier solutions to address those business needs. This includes managing the entirety of the sales funnel from customer segmentation and target identification to lead generation and nurturing to opportunity close and on-going account management.Meet regularly with existing and prospective key customersInteract with business development teams to support the sale and implementation of customer tailored solutionsDirectly manage and develop agreed local sales territoryUse sales and performance analytics to focus on account targeting and drive sales resultsReview and track KPIsDevelop predictable revenue forecasts and take action where potential deviations are identifiedEnsure brand and marketing compliance with all Marketing policies and processesRequirements:Bachelor degree in logistics services or economicsRelevant direct pharmaceutical industry experiences favorable in transport logisticsAlternatively experience from sales within the pharma industry3-5 years of sales experience.Minimum skills, knowledge and ability requirements:Danish language is required – native / C2Fluency in English – both orally and writtenWritten and verbal communication skillsStrong sense of responsibility, analytical skills and detail-oriented ability to liaise at all levelReceptive to change and new ideas, plus the ability to generate new ideas and conceptsBe able to work accurately & efficiently and meet tight deadlinePrioritizes and manages multiple responsibilities at onceMust be able to work independently with minimum supervisionExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsWhat Cencora offers​Benefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
