Our people are at the core of our success, bringing expertise, innovation, and leadership to critical Defence programs.Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs.This includes collaboration with key Defence entities, including Defence Digital Group (DDG), National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and branches across the Navy, Army, and Air Force.We are currently seeking an experienced Business Cost Analyst for The Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Program.If successful in securing a role, your work may involve:

• Manage and oversee logistics operations, ensuring effective inventory control, proper handling of harvested equipment, and timely disposals. This includes coordinating the repair process and inducting equipment back into inventory to maintain operational efficiency.
• Conduct in-depth cost performance analysis, tracking financial progress against key metrics. Identify potential cost risks and provide insights to support strategic planning and informed decision-making for the project.
• Develop comprehensive management reports and performance metrics, helping stakeholders understand financial trends, risks, and operational progress. Utilize scenario-based “what if” analysis to anticipate and mitigate cost uncertainties.
• Evaluate and assess contract baselines, ensuring that all financial and operational elements align with project objectives. Regularly review agreements to maintain compliance with performance expectations and financial planning requirements.
• Analyse shipyard and program performance, contributing to the development and maintenance of cost allocation models. Assess how ship performance data correlates with broader program objectives to drive continuous improvement and operational success.

Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary.
