Tēnei tūranga – About the Role:The Refugee and Migrant Services (RMS) branch in Immigration New Zealand upholds New Zealand’s international humanitarian obligations and commitments and works collaboratively across government, sectors and communities to welcome, protect, and enable migrants and refugees to resettle and thrive in New Zealand. RMS also supports Pacific labour mobility initiatives and capacity building; and strengthens New Zealand’s efforts to prevent and combat trafficking in persons and people smuggling.We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Business Coordinator in the Business Support Team to provide coordination and administrative support to the branch.You will be responsible for assisting with a range of business functions, including:
- Reporting
- Business continuity
- Planning, finance, risk management, fleet management, and assurance processes
- Email and diary management, including arranging meetings and taking minutes
- Travel and logistics
- Processing responses to Official Information Act requests, correspondence and parliamentary questions
- Quality assurance of papers.

- Solid administrative and coordination experience.
- The ability to quickly establish and build strong and trusted working relationships.
- Proven ability to support multiple teams.
- The ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritise in response to changes in priorities.
- A high degree of attention to detail.
- A can-do, positive and proactive customer-focused attitude.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesise written content.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or comparable relevant experience.
- Police vetting is required
