We’ve only begun reimaging the future – for our people, our customers, and the world.Let’s create tomorrow together.The cost reduction business analyst position will focus on overseeing bills of materials (BOMs) changes and supporting product cost reduction initiatives. The position will work collaboratively with cross-functional Zebra teams and contract elelctronic manufacturers to maintain BOM accuracy, monitor the effects of forecast changes on current material liabilities, and identify opportunities to implement newly qualified BOM materials driving product cost reductions.
Responsibilities:

• Working directly with business stakeholders, designs a limited variety of moderately complex reports using data from one or multiple systems to specifications. Delivers report in format to aid business stakeholder interpretation (pivot tables, graphs, etc.)
• Reviews existing reports for data accuracy. Proposes resolutions for quality issues of limited scope to more senior level analysts/supervisor and escalates complex quality issues to supervisor or senior staff for resolution
• Uses data methodologies and business acumen to generate recommendations to moderately complex problems to review with supervisor/senior analyst. Problems are generally focused on changing forecast demand and the repercussions to cost reduction implementation timeframes.
• Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
• Will also participate in data governance processes and quality in assigned area of responsibility
• Analyze current product material demand-and-supply outlook to proactively plan implementation of revised bills of materials to support product cost reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, and supply chain teams to ensure BOM accuracy and integrity.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies within the BOM management and production processes.
• Provide insightful analysis and reporting on BOM changes and their impact on product costs.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of stock management disclosures from Zebra’s contract manufacturing partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years experience
• Can synthesize complex data into themes, stories and recommendations
• Intermediate systems knowledge in assigned functional area
• Microsoft Excel – intermediate skills
• Can present data in a visually compelling format to help business stakeholders understand the issues, possibilities and recommendations
• Microsoft PowerPoint – intermediate
• Presentation skills – intermediate skills required. Some formal training in public speaking/presentation skills preferred
