If so, we invite you to join our Global Client Services team within Vontobel’s Asset Management department as a Business Analyst specializing in Asset Management Reporting.We seek an experienced Business Analyst who will serve as a vital connection between Operations, Sales, and Sales Support. The ideal candidate will analyze complex data across various asset classes—Equities, Fixed Income, and Multi-Asset Solutions—to develop and maintain insightful reports. They will streamline reporting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of information to key stakeholders. We value a strong commitment to delivering high-quality reporting solutions and exceptional client service.What would your role be?Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders—including Relationship Managers, Sales, Operations and IT, Architecture, Legal and Compliance, and the Data Governance Council—to gather and document business requirements for new and enhanced reporting functionalities.Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets from various sources, such as Charles River IMS, FactSet, Bloomberg, Salesforce CRM, MSCI Barra, and internal data warehouses, to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.Reporting Development: Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Excel VBA, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2019.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting, address data quality issues, and align reporting with regulatory and governance requirements.Process Optimization: Streamline reporting processes by reducing manual efforts and enhancing data quality through automation and process redesign.Project Management: Manage reporting-related projects from initiation to completion, including defining project scope, developing project plans, tracking progress, and managing risks and issues.Strategic Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of new reporting strategies and upgrades, such as value-based client segmentation, new ESG data feeds, integration of Salesforce CRM data into client reporting, and enhancements to performance attribution reporting using MSCI Barra.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory reporting standards, including those set by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), MiFID II client reporting, GIPS standards, data privacy regulations, and internal compliance policies.User Training and Support: Conduct user training and provide ongoing support for reporting tools and processes, including creating documentation and offering one-on-one assistance to stakeholders.What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as CFA, FRM, CBAP, PMP, or Agile are preferred.
  • Several years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Asset Management industry, specifically with client reporting and performance attribution data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and investment strategies.
  • Expertise in data analysis and reporting tools, including proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, designing interactive dashboards in Tableau, and presenting performance attribution results from MSCI Barra.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting requirements under MiFID II, institutional and fund reporting, and data vendor platforms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify data quality issues and develop solutions that improve client reporting accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment within a global organization. Proven project management skills, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
