The Business Analyst is instrumental to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of product flowing through our supply chain network to ensure timely delivery while also hitting cost and efficiency targets. The Business Analyst will review and understand capacity / supply chain operational data, and work with cross functional partners to resolve bottlenecks including, but not limited to, executing strategies to manage risk to distribution center holding capacity. As a subject matter expert in supply chain principles, the Business Analyst will participate in and/or lead continuous improvement initiatives. The Business Analyst will also be expected to deliver complex analytics to support business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Ensure on-time and efficient product flow

  • Develop plans and strategies to ensure risk capacity is minimized to ensure on-time product delivery to the distribution centers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute plans/projects, help resolve any problems that occur
  • Analyze data and provide critical updates/information to stakeholders to provide visibility and facilitate decision-making
  • Provide ad hoc supply chain support to the business as required

Forecasting and Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, improve and/or maintain forecasting models and other planning tools
  • Create and present regular performance reports to track KPIs, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement
  • Lead or actively contribute to process improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma, including mapping processes, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing solutions

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Reports to Manager

Travel Requirements:

  • Limited (travel to other distribution centres and SSC as required)

Hybrid Work:

  • Flex with a primary location

Working Conditions:

  • Working in an office setting: computer work, camera on virtual meetings, taking support calls
  • Walking through distribution centres as required
  • May require some non-standard work hours to support role requirements

Minimum Education:

  • University or College Degree in business or science/engineering or background in

supply chain management will be considered as a preferred qualification.Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of analytical experience (ideally in a retail environment) with emphasis on process improvement, replenishment, project management, change management and data analysis.

Minimum Leadership Experience:

  • Not required but considered an asset.

Certifications:

  • None

Other Requirements/Assets:

  • Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visual Basic, Word and Visio.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge and experience with forecasting and warehouse systems (e.g. SAP, WMS, TMS, YMS) considered an asset
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology considered an asset
