The Budget Analyst provides support in managing the Department of Training and Workforce Development’s (Department) budget in accordance with the Financial Management Framework. This includes the Department’s annual Budget and Mid-year Review submissions to Government, and internal budget management.This position has a key role working collaboratively with the Senior Budget Analyst in preparing and analysing monthly management reports for internal stakeholders, monitoring actual performance against budgets and developing strategies to mitigate any risks and provides options to meet identified cost pressures.To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in Budget Management and Reporting; possess good communication skills and an be able to work with large volumes of financial and non-financial data with attention to detailAs a measure to achieve equality under sections 51, 66R and 66ZP of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people (24 years of age and under) and people with disability who meet the requirements of the position may be prioritised for appointment.Employee Benefits
