Job description: Joining our friendly and hard working TP family in Walsall as a Customer/Branch Sales Assistant, you’ll be on the front line dealing with our customers that come into your branch; playing a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service and keeping colleagues and customers safe at all times.What will I be doing?Our Walsall branch is a BUSY one! A team of of 30 colleagues operating a busy counter service, sales desk, tool hire, Benchmarx kitchens and a managed service operation. But what a great place to work!   • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service – the key thing is to be helpful and friendly, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
  • You’ll handle requests, provide information on our products, prepare quotes and help each customer with their purchase, taking our sales from good to great.
  • You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe and correct movement of our products around the branch
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures.

You’ll work within the branch Sales Team, dealing directly with customers to maximise sales at every opportunity, working to expand our customer base by helping to identify and develop new accounts. On a day to day basis you will be handling customer orders and enquiries by phone and email on a frequent basis. Most of our customers are regulars, so you will build up friendly relationships by giving great customer service which will encourage repeat business. You will communicate with the team and suppliers to ensure a smooth transaction for the customer from start to finish, making sure their order is delivered on time and in full. You will also be involved in face to face customer service on the trade counter.What experience do you need?This is a key customer facing role, you just need the ability to provide great customer service, be confident in a sales environment…we can teach you about our products.Does this sound like you?You will be a confident communicator, able to build rapport with all customers and an ability sell!
