ResponsibilitiesJob SummaryThe Branch Cashier performs cashiering and other related functions for the Branch.Job Description

• Performs cashiering functions for OMLF branches and acts as PDC Custodian
• Accepts check payments and issues the corresponding ORs
• Prepares the deposit slips for payments and ensures that all deposits are validated and reflected in the passbook
• Handles check or AMT preparation and release in relation to disbursements
• Safe-keeps un-issues checks and ORs and ensures that adequate supply is maintained
• Prints Daily Collection Report from the Daily Transaction Prooflist and submits to Cash Operations Section Head and Department Head for review
• Maintains logbooks for OR series
• Acts as Petty Cash and Revolving Fund Custodian of the home-based branch
• Safekeeps duplicate copy in the home-based branch, forwards duplicate copy of issued receipts to branches for filing and sends original copy to client
• Receives and checks the PDcs encoded and forwarded by AMSS to cover newly booked accounts as well as those PDCs submitted by the Collection Department. AMSS and Collection personnel to check the accuracy of PDCs submitted by the client and to handle encoding of newly booked and reprocessed accounts in the system
• Receives PDCs with copies of the corresponding documents from AMSS/Loans Admin
• Acts as custodian of PDCs and returned checks
• Handles received returned checks from the bank. Prepares, encodes and emails reports on returned checks to the Section Head, CODH, CD and AD.
• Generates List of PDCs due for deposit
• Conducts inventory, safekeeping and pulling-out of PDCs from the SDB
• Performs all other related functions as may be assigned by the CODH from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Detail oriented, Organized, Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft office based applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint),
• With good oral and written communication skills
• Can work with minimal supervision
