Job description: Role PurposeAs a BI Reporting Senior Analyst you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of insights, dashboards, analytical tools, and presentations to key stake holders across a number of business areas including the Gaming channel and the Compliance and Customer Service support functions.You will become an expert in the company’s chosen reporting, analytics, and data visualisation tools, whilst providing an excellent service to the various business teams. The role will include delivery of BI reporting and analytical services including change requests to existing reporting solutions, ad-hoc requests for information (RFI) and business-as-usual (BAU) activities. It will also require candidates to engage with stakeholders to understand and clarify business requirements and design appropriate solutions.Reporting to the BI Manager – Gaming, Compliance and Customer Services you are expected to proactively work with the rest of the BI team to support and enable them to meet their KPIs and other deliverables.We are interested in candidates with 4+ years experience as per the below spec.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced level of expertise in developing Tableau reports (or similar data visualisation tools) across all levels within the business including the Senior Leadership team;Provide reporting and dashboarding solutions for the various business areas including Gaming, Compliance and Customer Services in line with provided requirements;Provide analytical analysis and insights across the business areas including customer segmentation, promotional effectiveness and restrictive behaviour analysis;Providing fact-based responses to ad-hoc business questions using data and analytic techniques;Assist in the definition of metrics, attributes and KPIs across the business, and identify new ways of presenting data, and propose ideas for the adoption thereof;Understand how data within core business systems relates to business activity, and ensure all data is prepared and mapped correctly for KPI and analytic reporting purposes;Regular review of existing automated reporting suite to ensure they provide continuing relevance to the business and data consistency and standards are maintained;Work with the BI data engineering team and IT to operationalise and fully automate accepted pieces of analysis where these are to be repeated weekly or periodically;Use problem solving skills to identify business opportunities and pinpoint problems;Collaborate across the BI team, and help and/or mentor junior members of the team;Work with your business partners and/or Heads of Function in regular forums to ensure their analytical needs, ad-hoc requests and change items are being delivered successfully;Experience & QualificationsExtensive experience in a data analytics role coupled with the ability to transform complex facts and figures into high quality presentations with actionable insights;BSc (or equivalent) in the field of Business / IT / Mathematics, or a related subject;Knowledge and experience with a modern Data Visualisation tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense or similar)At least 4 years experience working with large datasets in an SQL based language;Strong ability to interpret data and drive business conclusions;Competencies & SkillsInquisitive mindset with a proven ability at problem solving with an analytical approach, but also with an understanding of key challenges in delivering any reporting solution;Self-motivated with a clear ability to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment;Ability to operate within an agile delivery environment, and re-act quickly to changing priorities;Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management;Nice to HaveExperience with site and click stream analytics with billions of data records;A good knowledge of online gaming, sport or sports betting;

  • Experience working with a modelling / coding language (e.g. R/Python or similar)
