• Prior experience in beverage menu development or café operations is a plus
• Knowledge of different brewing methods, coffee bean profiles, and mixology if needed
• Strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and other beverages (juices, smoothies, non-alcoholic drinks)
• Expertise in using and maintaining coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers)
• Sensory skills – tasting and evaluating coffee and other drinks
• Basic knowledge of food safety & hygiene
• Creativity in drink innovation
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (for training or consultation)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiar with sales or inventory software is a plus (e.g. AutoCount systems)

Responsibilities

• Develop and innovate beverage recipes (coffee, tea, seasonal drinks, etc.)
• Design and cost out beverage menus for cafés, restaurants, or hotels
• Select and recommend appropriate equipment based on business needs
• Conduct training for baristas and staff on beverage preparation and service
• Assist with café layout planning (bar flow, efficiency, etc.)
• Provide quality control standards for beverage consistency and taste
• Stay updated with beverage trends (e.g., cold brew, specialty lattes, non-dairy options)
• Prepare and process sales orders, quotations and invoices
• Assist in tracking sales targets and performance
