Job description: Job Category: Hotel-Food and BeverageJob Description:The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and specialty beverages to guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming service experience. This role plays a key part in enhancing guest satisfaction by delivering excellent product knowledge, consistency in preparation, and exceptional hospitality in line with the hotel’s standards.YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.), teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, bar area, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper inventory of coffee, milk, syrups, and supplies; communicate needs to management.
  • Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations when requested.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system when necessary.
  • Upsell beverages, pastries, or snacks to maximize sales.
  • Ensure all beverages are presented attractively and consistently.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
  • Maintain knowledge of seasonal menu items and promotions.
  • Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure timely and smooth operations.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Previous barista or café experience preferred, especially in a hotel or high-end setting.
  • Good knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and latte art is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage hygiene standards.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Barista certification is an advantage.
