MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia PacificAbout the Role:Position Title: Assistant Vice President Risk managementCorporate Title:Assistant Vice PresidentReporting to: Head of Risk ManagementLocation: BengaluruJob Profile:Position detailsTo drive the implementation and enhancement of the Operational Risk management as appropriate for the size, nature, and complexity of MUFG Global Capability Centers and to provide support to the Head Risk Management and team in the managing risks within organization risk appetite.Roles and Responsibilities:The role will be primarily responsible for providing the day-to-day support and enhancement of the Operational Risk Management requirements.Areas of focus would include, but are not limited to;

• Implementation of Operational Risk requirements.
• Maintaining the policy and procedure architecture for the Operational risk management.
• Delivering value add support, credible challenge to the 1LOD
• Deliver training to stakeholders
• Co-ordination and liaison with internal and external stakeholders to manage Operational Risk
• Be a trusted advisor to stakeholders to manage risk in line with risk appetite parameters
• Delivering various periodic and ad hoc risk reviews and reports in a complete, timely and accurate manner.
• Support business units and corporate center functions in periodical assessment of Risk and Controls (RCSA). Track, report, and escalate on deficiencies and failed controls
• Input into, and extraction of Operational risk data elements into Risk Management systems as applicable
• Developing and maintaining a sound knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws, and regulations.
• Facilitate RFIs from Audits, communicate audit deliverables including the audit findings, track and manage closures of audit and self-identified issues.
• Perform control assessment and testing as part of assurance activities.
• Participate in risk forums and management of risk working groups promoting balanced discussions and encouraging challenge and debate.
• Provide insight on the evolving risk environment and interact with key stakeholders & and business leaders
• Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) policies, guidelines are adhered to. Provide recommendations wherever necessary.

Job Requirements:

• 10 15 years experience working in financial services related activities (e.g. Banking, Consultancy, professional services or FinTech.)
• 6yrs+ experience in Enterprise or Operational Risk functions.
• Bachelors degree. Professional qualifications in risk highly desirable.
• Understanding of GCC Operational risk management
• Experience in RCSA, Control testing or assurance activities
• Clear and effective communication both written and verbal.
• Able to breakdown complex business risk issues and provide risk appropriate solutions
• Highly collaborative with an ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within the department and with stakeholders across the lines of defense.
• Ability to manage complexity, effectively prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in non-routine situations and in a fast-paced environment.
