Job description: Are you a qualified auditor looking to join a Top 20 Firm of accountants where you can realise your potential?A leading Top 20 Firm with an office in Manchester, is looking for an Audit Senior to join their growing team within corporate audit where you will deliver quality service to a high-profile portfolio of clients. You will work with a variety of corporate and owner managed businesses, charities and other not for profit organisations. The salaary on offer is between £40,000 – £44,000, with discrtionary bonuses and 2 salary reviews per year.You will have the opportunity to develop your experience and responsible for the delivery of client-based assignments, ensuring the teams audit work and reporting is of high quality.Responsibilities: As an Audit Senior, you will…

• Act as first point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis
• Produce work for Manager and/or Partner review
• Have primary responsibility for monitoring progress against budget
• Coach junior members of staff through sharing knowledge
• Assist in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review

Requirements: As an Audit Senior, you will need…

• Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent
• Solid understanding and application of UKGAAP accounting fundamentals and applications; proficient in basic technical techniques (valuations, modelling, spreadsheets)
• Demonstration of the ability to effectively manage the audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
• Previous experience of carrying out assurance related tasks within a professional services firm
• Proven experience in a client facing role
