- Provide training and support through our Asia – Personal Development Programme. Covers both technical and non-technical skills development.
- Offer exam support including paid exam leave, exam fee support and practical experience mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements and other accounting reports for our clients.
- Compiling and analysis of financial information underlying the financial statements, including the treatment of business transactions.
- Liaison with the client’s working team members in both Mandarin and English to request accounting information and discuss accounting issues.
- Recording transactions in our financial accounting system, including bookkeeping for purchase and sales invoices, bank reconciliations, and analysis of fund transactions.
- Administration work including preparing fund correspondence and notices, and ensuring that our permanent files are adequately maintained for new and existing clients.
- Supporting the client during the year-end audit, including the preparation of audit schedules and liaison with auditors.
- Calculation of deal and fund level IRRs and other performance metrics.
- Dealing with year-end audit including preparation of relevant files and resolving issues.
- Monitoring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Collect appropriate data and preparing government reports and tax returns.
Requirements:
- A positive attitude, a sense of satisfaction from doing your best, and self-discipline are all essential.
- Accounting qualification from a recognized professional accounting body.
- Excellent written and spoken Mandarin and English communication skills.
- Experience in using accounting packages for bookkeeping and report production.
- Microsoft Excel and Word experience, including the ability to produce neatly presented work.
- Understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and other relevant accounting standards, where possible gained within a funds environment.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and performance measurement reports at asset and fund level.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and especially clients.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations for which there may be little precedence.
