Primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products. Must be able to extract features, select features, code, train model, validate and evaluate the models.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Selecting features, building, and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
  • Data mining or extracting usable data from valuable data sources.
  • Carrying out preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic systems.
  • Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis.
  • Analyzing large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions.
  • Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms
  • Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges.
  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
  • Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

  • 1+ years of Python development experience
  • 1+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven Experience as Data Analyst or Data Scientist
  • Must have knowledge of NLP modelling techniques, with a firm grasp of the mechanics of modelling methods.
  • Good applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc. Proficiency in statistics is essential for data-driven companies.
  • Good knowledge of machine learning methods like k-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests.
  • Strong Math Skills (Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra) – understanding the fundamentals of Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra is important as they form the basis of a lot of predictive performance or algorithm optimization techniques.
  • Data Wrangling – proficiency in handling imperfections in data
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong Software Engineering Background
  • Hands-on experience with data science tools
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
  • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, etc
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
