This person will report into the Sr. Director, BPO Management and support the month end close process. They will also partner closely with the VP Finance and various members of the Finance senior leadership team to drive CFO organization and company initiatives.Responsibilities:Statutory Financial ReportingOwnership of the statutory financial reporting process for EU legal entities (currently 28) in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations; ultimate responsibility to ensure all accounts are filed on timePartner with team members working on statutory financial reporting to ensure completion is on trackLiaise with local country advisors and manage local statutory financial reporting auditsResponsible for a transformative project to enhance the statutory financial reporting processDesign and implement streamlined processes to optimize efficiency, accuracy and complianceCollaborate closely with finance teams, external auditors and other stakeholders to gather insights, feedback and requirementsExplore partnerships and technological solutions to enhance the statutory financial reporting process to improve accuracy and reduce manual effortFoster a culture of continuous improvement, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful adoption of changesContinuously improve process design focusing on simplification, standardisation, and quality improvementEvaluate best practices with global peers and become a best practice sponsor within the organisation​Support of Record to Report (RTR) function through BPO​Jazz has outsourced some transactional accounting activities to a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team. This person will provide support to the retained organization for management of the BPOOversight of the global balance sheet reconciliation process ensuring all reconciliations are completed and all reconciling items are dispositioned in a timely mannerReview and post monthly journal entriesAssist the BPO in resolution of escalated general ledger and reporting mattersManage the intercompany process and partner with the tax team to transform and automate our intercompany transfer pricing processEnsure compliance through frequent monitoring and emphasis on accuracy and adherence to policiesGlobal Accounting Policy OwnerLead the development, implementation, and maintenance of global accounting policies to ensure consistency and compliance across all regionsWork closely with Corporate Reporting team to ensure effective application of changes in international accounting standards (US GAAP & IFRS) and impact on the organization’s accounting policiesProvide accounting policy application guidance to Global Finance (FP&A) and other business partners as neededEnsure compliance through frequent monitoring and emphasis on accuracy and adherence to policies, and proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional business partners (Global Finance (FP&A), Treasury, Legal, IS, HR, Compliance, Commercial) to resolve issues, identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive industry leading operational and reporting excellenceCoordinate with internal and external auditors and advisorsStreamline finance and accounting administrative processes to allow staff to perform effectively and efficientlyEnsure the application the Company’s finance policies and procedures and internal controls in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-OxleyRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor or master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, and/or professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) preferredA minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in a dynamic international organisationAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders; consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority.
