Our Energy team within our Commercial Advisory and Transactions group advises clients on the energy and climate transition through providing commercial, financial, transaction and strategic advice to clients.Our team is embedded within the Infrastructure, Asset & Places group and is differentiated by our experience across all aspects of the energy infrastructure life cycle and connected with KPMG’s wider specialised service offering for the energy sector.Your Opportunity – Associate DirectorForming part of the Energy team; this role will play a key role in supporting our Energy opportunities in the market by:· Bringing your energy industry experiences and passions to our team and supporting the delivery of opportunities across energy sector transactions and major projects.· Working with our teams to simplify and shape complex client and market situations into straightforward strategies.· Supporting our delivery of strategic, commercial, analytical, and financial advice that is industry leading.· Leading our specialist teams across various large scale capital infrastructure projects across the Energy sector.How are you extraordinary?· You enjoy a nurturing culture of engagement with clients at all levels, wanting to gain exposure to energy deals and transactions and expand your knowledge of the energy industry.· You enjoy providing clients with strategic and commercial advice in relation to business cases, strategy and transaction processes on energy, water, and utility related projects.· You wish to be part of significant deals and opportunities that solve for net zero emissions.· You are highly analytical and enjoy problem solving with innovation.· You have a good understanding of (or passion for) new and emerging value propositions in the energy sector (such as electric vehicles, hydrogen, solar & storage, or demand side response),· You can assist our clients with developing and implementing energy policy, such as renewable energy zones, standalone power systems, hydrogen, energy storage and other aspects related to the energy transition.You want to help solve some of Australia’s most significant energy transition, climate change, decarbonisation, or net zero emissions challenges and you are looking for a team focussed and dedicated to these challenges!Your ExperienceAt KPMG, we believe diversity of thought, background and experience strengthens relationships and delivers meaningful benefits to our people, our clients, and communities. We look for team members who bring qualifications, skills & experience that could include:· Career experiences across the energy transition, investment decision making, climate change and decarbonisation.· The ability to provide strategic, commercial, financial advice and developing financial models.· Preparing briefing documentation for tenders, submissions, and investor memorandums, running financial models, supporting transaction strategy and analysis.· The ability to prepare client deliverables, business cases, feasibility studies, reports, presentations, or financial analysis to support client decisions.· Recent professional experience in corporate advisory, management consultancy, engineering consultancy, accounting or law firms, investment banking, project finance teams, infrastructure funds, construction firms or within commercial or infrastructure teams in operational businesses.· Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Law, or other relevant subjectsAdditional InformationKPMG is a professional services firm with global outreach and deep sector experience.
