Point of contact for the commision and the Internal TT team. Reviewing resource requirements and working with cost centre leadAdvising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectivesLeading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parametersPlanning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issuesEstablishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout projectProject planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan and budgetsAdvising upon the procurement of resourcesLeading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project teamMonitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performanceManaging the change control processMonitoring and advising upon project financesManaging the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communicationsEnsuring the production of formal project progress and other reportsTaking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stagesMarketing and business development, to include:Taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients with a particular focus on the Education sector as well as other Commercial opportunities.Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunitiesWorking with other Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new workAttending formal client pitches with Associate Directors and DirectorsIdentifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management products and servicesInternal management accountabilities, to include:Staff management – formal management of a team of cost managers, to include recruitment interviews, resource management and staffKnowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal databaseFinancial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising T&T system in order to keep track of the ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each projectProcess improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processesQualificationsRequirements:

  • Experience leading and managing healthcare projects (Desirable)
  • Chartered MRICS/MCSI
  • Significant experience working on the Irish Market
  • Experience in leading and delivering big commisions
