Job description: Associate Cost Manager(PQS) – Hybrid Working€100k + (Package and Benefits)Dublin CityThe Associate Cost Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing cost consultancy services across a variety of high-profile projects.This role involves providing strategic cost management advice, overseeing project financials, and ensuring the delivery of best-in-class cost consultancy services to clients.As a senior member of the team, the Associate Cost Manager will also contribute to business development, mentor junior staff, and support the overall growth of the cost consultancy division.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in cost management, and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-level cost advice and strategic guidance to clients, ensuring that projects align with budgetary objectives and deliver optimal valueDevelop and oversee the preparation of detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client goalLead the preparation of tender documentation, including pricing schedules, bills of quantities, and cost analysesDrive value engineering exercises, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising qualityAdvise on procurement strategies, risk management, and cost control processes to achieve the best project outcomesOversee the financial management of projects from inception through to final account settlement, ensuring delivery within budget and to client satisfactionLead the management of variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring prompt resolution and accurate reportingReview and approve interim valuations, progress reports, and cash flow forecastRepresent the consultancy in client and project meetings, presenting financial reports and providing clear, actionable insightsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fieldChartered status with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or similar professional body is requiredMinimum of 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management, with a focus on delivering complex projects within a consultancy environmentProven track record of successfully managing the financial aspects of large-scale projects across various sectors, such as commercial, residential, and infrastructureExperience in client management and business development is desirable.To register your interest please forward CV to John.Behan@icds.ie or call 01-632-1200 to discuss.
