  • Spends/Activation/Usage/Attrition initiatives
  • Overseeing cards product features and benefits, and relevant programs / initiatives to bring value to customers

The jobholder will drive key business decisions, create value across the Cards Division and develop and maintain a portfolio management strategy for credit cards.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Impact on the Business / Function

  • By planning, implementing and managing effective and cost-efficient programs and ensuring that the optimum synergy is attained vis-a-vis- the card portfolio initiatives. Each activity to be reviewed and evaluated by the immediate superior.
  • By pursuing business alliances with non-traditional acquisition/corporate organizations to develop differentiated benefits that increase not only usage but even interest in applying for a card

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Monitor reports of all campaigns and portfolio targets – track and analyse customer behavior pre- and post campaign launches and provide relevant recommendations that will encourage deeper engagement with customers
  • Listen and get feedback from Contact Centre / Branches on promos launched
  • Be actively involved in the planning, implementation and reviews of all programmes of the Cards Portfolio in the context of budgets, milestones while ensuring adequacy of its processes

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Coordinate with all functions in WPB to obtain resources and support in developing and maintaining the portfolio management strategy and the projects that support it
  • Collaborate with Marketing on partnerships or promos to drive portfolio initiatives and work closely with internal stakeholders on promo fulfillments and any process improvement
  • Proactively participate in business planning and contribute to on-going management of WPB

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • By working closely with other WPB units in designing fulfillment processes and to regularly review existing policies/ programs to ensure the efficient implementation of Portfolio Management campaigns
  • To implement Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
  • By ensuring that relevant reports are in place and recommendations/insights provided by WPB RP and other stakeholders are acted upon by relevant process owners
  • To maintain HSBC internal control; standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

QualificationsExperience, Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in the management of financial products whether as an individual contributor or a team member. Experience in loans and credit cards including the relevant systems utilized by HSBC is preferred
  • Graduate of any business course
  • Proactive and an independent worker with a working knowledge of how to manage processes efficiently
  • Creative thinker with focus on how to streamline processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English & Filipino.
