Job description: LGB Group , a prominent Malaysian conglomerate with a diversified portfolio across utilities, infrastructure, renewable energy, property development, and more, seeks an Assistant Manager/Senior Executive/Executive to join our vibrant Corporate Affairs & Investment team . As a key player of the team directly supporting the Executive Director, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the Group’s continuous growth strategy. Job scope: Strategic Growth & Transactions: Assist in developing and implementing various strategic initiatives, which may include mergers & acquisitions, asset monetisation, fund raising (debt & equity). Specifics tasks may include: o Assist with investment evaluation by preparing and reviewing financial models, board & executive committee documents, and analysing investment details. o Facilitate due diligence processes by coordinating with internal & external stakeholders. o Support fundraising activities through negotiations with lenders, legal counsel, and external parties. o Review all relevant contracts. Manage relationships with corporate advisors (investment banks, consultants) and internal/external parties, including regulatory bodies. Assist each division in their respective strategic initiatives as needed. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting: o Monitor performance of each division by reviewing and compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. o Provide meeting briefs for executive committee & board documents for investee companies. o Investor Relations: Contribute to investor relations activities such as preparing and reviewing relevant materials for analysts’ presentations, annual reports, press releases & announcements, annual general meetings, and etc. o Special Projects: Assist with ad-hoc requests and special projects for the Group Chairman and other major shareholders. Skill-set requirement: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in financial projections, analysis and modelling, tax, and has strong understanding in the impact of accounting process and practices. Team player, good problem solvers and proactive. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics related field or accounting/finance professional qualifications e.g. ACCA/CPA/CFA or its equivalent is preferred At least 3 years of relevant working experience in industries such as investment banking, fund management, venture capital, accounting/tax, or management consulting. Ability to read and write Mandarin is an advantage.
