Job description: About the roleAs an Assistant Manager overseeing the underwriting team, you will be conducting comprehensive risk assessments and facilitating effective communication within the operations team.Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure thorough evaluation of life insurance applications, balancing risk management with customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Work closely with operation teams to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for the underwriting team, promoting professional growth and adherence to best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in life insurance underwriting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Professional designations such as ALMI or FMLI are highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Excel, Wordm PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
  • Proficient command in both spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
