Job description: We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Manager Legal – Contracts to oversee our contract management process and provide legal guidance across various aspects of our business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of contracts. This role requires a strong understanding of legal requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.Key Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts such as vendor agreements, client contracts, partnership agreements, and other legal documents ensuring compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage the contracts lifecycle including tracking key provisions, renewal dates, and termination clauses to ensure timely review and renewal as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify legal risks and provide strategic advice on contract-related matters.
- Liaise with external legal counsel as needed to obtain legal opinions, advice on complex issues, and support on litigation matters.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to contracts and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Conduct legal research on various matters including contractual obligations, intellectual property, tax, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on contract-related matters and legal issues affecting the business.
- Assist in drafting policies, SOPs, frameworks, and other legal documents as required.
- Handle miscellaneous legal and corporate-legal matters that may arise, including issues related to intellectual property, tax, and compliance with Middle Eastern laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in contract management or a legal role focused on contracts.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and related legal principles.
- Excellent negotiation and legal drafting skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
